Nexmap Boston1.5.2 - App Store

Introducing the next generation in transit maps: the world's first scalable interactive transit map!

The ONLY map that offers real-time GPS tracking in a beautifully rendered map covering commuter rail, subway, streetcars, and buses.

Nexmap is gorgeously rendered to fit beautifully with the experience you d expect on an iPhone (including Retina). Instead of 4 maps, we ve combined them all into one: Commuter Rail, Subway and Light Rail, Primary Bus Routes, and even Street View. All seamlessly integrated with GPS-based real-time bus schedules, so you know when to catch your bus.

[[ Interactive Transit Maps ]]

We re all familiar with static transit maps, and we re all familiar with online dynamic road maps. It s time for interactive transit maps. Nexmap scales as you zoom and discloses information progressively. It groups buses and train stops together with real names, treating major bus routes as first class citizens on an easy-to-decipher map.

[[ Buses as first-class citizens ]]

Let s be honest. Nobody prefers taking a bus instead of a train. But there s not always an option. While the politicians figure out how to fund better rail, we ve integrated the primary bus routes into our maps, named stations real names instead of street intersections, and we give you a portable guide to let you figure out your route, find what corner your bus stops at, and see when to catch the bus.

[[ Real-time arrivals ]]

This one s the buzz of all the transit systems of late: GPS tracking. We ve incorporated it right into the transit map, so you can tap on a station and see when to catch your bus, and what corner it s on.
